Build on Monday, test ride on Tuesday, race on Wednesday!

Punk BikeI haven’t had a proper road/race machine for a few years, and I had a few random pipes kicking around, so I built this with a super-light and fast ride in mind. TrueTemper bioval DT, S3 TT, and CS’s are matched with the Enve rim brake fork, and straight chromo seatstays make for a 16 lb total weight. I robbed parts from my CX frame (which is up for sale!!) and had some Chris King carbon wheels kicking around. It feels stiff and fast in all the right ways. I love racing, and summer is the season for quick bikes. A beautifully finished bike is always nice, but I love how quirky and punk bike racing culture can be mashed up together. The kids need to see something other than flashy carbon money pits being ridden. Make it your own, make it special, ride the crap out of it for years!

Tiny seat stays keep it light!

Raw fillets are faster!

Unfinished fillets are faster.
